Hi! Looking for opinions on this…my babies will be 16months apart. I had a baby shower while pregnant with my 1st in Nov ‘22. Is it too soon to do a sprinkle for baby 2? My mom thinks if we have one we should say ‘no gifts’ since everyone bought us baby stuff recently. Thoughts??

I think that really depends on the people in your circle and how big you’d make it. Would it be casual with close friends who would just bring you some cute outfits? Or would it be a huge group?
My extended family is super opinionated and would think a sprinkle is a gift grab, so if I ever had a sprinkle with a second baby, I’d probably keep it to close friends, sisters and moms/grandmas so I could personally tell them we don’t want any big gifts and just want to celebrate this baby, too.

@pmm4204,
agreed I’d want to keep it small. Just a casual gathering to celebrate baby 2! We don’t know the gender with this one

I think you can still do a sprinkle, especially if baby is a different gender this time. Another option would be to do a diaper party, if that’s mostly what you need.

@LilyKateri,
oh that’s an idea! What exactly is a diaper party? Everyone brings that instead of a gift?

I’m doing a sprinkle/baby shower. Most people in my family and husbands family don’t know what a sprinkle means lol so they expect all the baby shower games and stuff. When they ask I tell them we don’t really need anything but I do have a registry and it’s just like baby wash/lotion and medicine and teething toys. Nothing big just little things if they want to get something. We want to celebrate this baby too so just it’s just for that. Some family fun.
