Getting Started[]
You will not have any cards to start with. The easiest way to get started is to visit /warp CardShop and buy one of the 11 Starter Decks. You can only purchase one of the decks, but it's a good way to get started battling.
Obtaining Cards[]
The current available booster packs are Base Set, Jungle, Fossil, and Team Rocket.
Card Shop[]
You can buy Booster Packs at /warp CardShop, but they are limited to one per 8 hours per player (regardless of the set you choose). Booster Packs each contain 10 random cards from the set.
Essence[]
Alternatively, you can create booster packs with Essence. Wild Pokémon will each drop 1 Essence of their primary type after knockout. Additionally, 1-star raids drop 2 Essence of their type, the 2-5 star raids drop the same amount of Essence as their star rating. More ways to obtain Essence will also be added in the future.
In order to create a pack of a random set, 50 of each Essence type is required. In order to create a pack of a specific set, 300 of each Essence type is required instead. Due to the extreme price gap, it is recommended to only buy random packs and just trade if you get one you don't want.
You can access the Essence GUI with semicolon ;
In the future, essence drop amounts and/or costs may also be adjusted.
Building a Deck[]
Cards can be stored in a Deck Holder or a Card Binder. Deck Holders can hold a maximum of 60 cards and can be used in battle. Card Binders can store a larger number of cards (24 pages of 12 cards) but cannot be used in battle. Both of them can be bought at /warp CardShop.
Battling[]
A battle can be started by using a Battle Box while holding a valid card deck, which will be used in the battle. Small and Medium Battle boxes can be bought at /warp CardShop, one of each per player (more may be obtainable in the future). Small Battle Boxes take up a 14x15 area, and Medium Battle Boxes take up a 26x30 block area.
There are 6 Battle Boxes at /warp CardShop for public use. You can get there by talking to the Card Shop owner.
Battle rules are the same as in the official Pokémon Trading Card Game of the current implemented sets.
While in a TCG battle, chat will be hidden (this will likely be changed in a future update). To view chat, or to pause the game for any other reason, you can press ESC. To force-end a battle completely, both players in the battle will need to relog at the same time.
Battle Arenas[]
The server offers battle arenas with various rulesets in the Card Shop Basem*nt. Get there by talking to the shop owner in /warp CardShop.
You can make use of the 6-Prize Battle Arenas, or use the 4 & 2-Prize Battle Arenas for quicker battles. You can get to these by talking to the NPCs.
Battle Music: Enjoy a remix of the classic GBA Trading Card Game battle music in the Card Shop Battle Arenas. Requires our MusicPlayer
You can also purchase Battle Boxes from /warp CardShop to battle anywhere you want.
Tips[]
- You can zoom-in on cards in your hand by right-clicking them.
- You can view cards on the field and both players' graveyards by left-clicking them.
- Sometimes, a player may have issues clicking cards. When this happens, try clicking around them, sometimes the cards' hitbox is not properly aligned.
- Be sure to have a reference for Special Conditions handy if you're new to TCG
