Now that you understand the basics of MyCareer, and have created your dream NBA prospect, it’s time to find the right team for your NBA career. This step is where legacies are made and will define the entire MyCareer process from here onwards.
For Point Guards: Washington Wizards
If you have chosen to make your MyPLAYER a point guard, you will find it hard to find a better-suited team than the Washington Wizards. The team consists of strong players, including Bradley Beal (OVR 87) as shooting guard and Kristaps Porzingis (OVR 86) playing Center.
As a point guard, this gives you plenty of ammunition to work with, and you will have minimal competition for game time, as the Wizards are certainly not the strongest in that department.
Play with NBA Superstars: Philadelphia 76ers

Play With Strong Power Forwards: Milwaukee Bucks
If the build you have chosen is a point guard or shooting guard, much of your value will be determined by assists, especially in your early career when your shooting stats are not so hot.
To ensure you receive plenty of assists with the minutes you get on the court, choosing a team with strong power forwards can be a great option. The Milwaukee Bucks offer you the chance to team up with bonified superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo (OVR 97), and you can also utilise Khris Middleton (OVR 86) if he gets injured.
Minutes may be trickier to come by as you are competing with Jrue Holiday (OVR 85), who can play in either point guard or shooting guard, but once you do get on the court, the game gets that little bit easier.
For Small Forwards: Minnesota Timberwolves

Unfortunately, the team could not secure Kevin Durrant’s services during the off-season, but this team of young prospects is sure to have another run at it in 2023. If you want your MyPLAYER to surround themselves with other young up-and-coming talents, the Boston Celtics is an excellent option.
For Shooting Guards: Brooklyn Nets
The Brooklyn Nets are packed with superstar talent, but none of them plays in the shooting guard position. If you go for a shooting guard build, and you opt to pull on a Brooklyn Nets Jersey, you will give yourself the opportunity to get many minutes, playing with some of the top players in the league, including Ben Simmons (OVR 84), Kyrie Irving (OVR 92) and Kevin Durrant (OVR 96).
This level of firepower on offence is sure to make for some high-scoring games and lots of opportunities for your player to progress quickly.
Play with the 3-Point King: Golden State Warriors
Finally, if you want to link up with one of the most successful franchises recently, the Golden State Warriors offer a very interesting opportunity.
For starters, you get to team up with Stephen Curry (OVR 96), who has a 99 3-point rating. If you play as a power forward or a centre, you can easily manipulate your tactics to ensure the ball gets to Steph outside the D plenty.
The Golden State Warriors are certainly not as strong as it used to be, but there are still plenty of players on the roster that can help the team go deep into the postseason. Not to mention the fact that this will create more opportunities for you to make your mark on the franchise.
